Bowl-A-ThonBOWL-A-THON: We are gearing up for the 7th annual Bowl-A-Thon. God has blessed our efforts every year and this year’s goal has increased to $15,000. This is the school’s biggest fundraising event and it is designed to help meet the needs of the school.  It also enhances many of our programs.  The money that is raised goes to the general school budget for day to day operations.  It is a great day of fun and fellowship for the whole family. One lucky student will be the winner of the grand prize family pack and the top earning class and their teacher will win a variety of special prizes.  It’s not too late to register.  All students who collect $125.00 in sponsorship money will be eligible for an afternoon play session with other qualifying classmates, staff, teachers and Mr. Griffey.  Lots of volunteers will be needed on the day of the Bowl-A-Thon.  Please consider volunteering some of your time to help the day run smooth.  This event is too fun to miss!! See you at the alley!!!!  Saturday, March 2, 2013, 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm, Fairview Lanes, 21847 Lorain Rd., Fairview Park, OH, 440-331-3244

Onysko.  He will be talking about the Shroud of Turin.  (www.manintheshroud.org)  After chapel, the students will show off their classrooms and their school to their grandparents. This event will require lots of volunteers.  Please contact your Head Room Mom to let them know you can help.  We will also be using the new website Volunteerspot.com  to notify families how you can help.  God Bless you and your family - PTF

Mrs. Pledger Spiritual EmphasisMission Emphasis Month
Our Mission Emphasis Month for the 2013-2014 school year has begun.  We started on Thursday, September 12th with Mrs. Marian Pledger.  She spoke on our Theme ”One Another”.  Our theme verse for the school year is from John 13:34-35:  ”A new command I give you: Love one another.  As I have loved you, so you must love one another.  By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”  The rest of the line-up for the Spiritual Emphasis month is:  September 19th with Pastor Dan Barfell, September 26th with Pastor Kevin Litchfield and October 3rd with Miss Pam Scott.  Parents and guests are welcome to join us during this special time.  Chapel starts at 8:25am and ends around 9:00am.
